I believe we are in the last days and we are the last remnants for Christ. And God is urging His chosen people to be set apart and live life in holiness and blameless, no longer participating in the ways of the world.

Once we’ve become a born again Christian, salvation is just the beginning. We can’t afford to live to the way our flesh dictates for we have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection are evident that we can access the throne of grace through Him. Our freedom in Christ doesn’t mean we are given the liberty to do whatever we want or however we want.

According to Romans 8:1-8, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God. Those who are in the flesh cannon please God.” From these words alone it is evident that God is against those who practice according to the dictates of their fleshly nature and it can never please Him. We can’t say we are born again Christians and our lifestyles are not congruent with what we believe in. Some people would say we are not saved by works but by grace. It is absolutely true that we are saved by grace and through faith in Jesus Christ, but we can no longer use our freedom to do however we want without facing consequences in the end.

Even in the United States of America, we live freely in this country. However, in this country, we have a set of rules and regulations we must abide by. Otherwise, once these laws are violated we will face the consequences. A judge cannot pardon someone who murdered someone just simply because we live in a free country. The same way with God who judges righteously when we continually and purposely living in sin. God can’t forgive you unless you repent and turn away from lawlessness.

Jesus said in the last days, many would say, Lord, Lord open the door and He would say, ” I never knew you, depart from me you wicked one who practice lawlessness.Read Matthew 7:23

Romans 12:1 also talks about presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice to God, holy, acceptable to God. And we must renew our mind to be spiritually minded that will lead to life and peace. James 3:17 states, “The wisdom from above is first pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy.

We are in the world but we are not of the world. It is rather hard not to be swayed or to be influenced by the world because as long as we are alive we can’t help but act like the world. That’s why Titus 2:11 says, “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” There are three keys here that Titus pointed on how we ought to live and these are: soberly, righteously and glorious appearing of our God and Savior Jesus Christ. We must either ignore these warnings or continue living in sin that will ultimately lead to eternal demise and separation from God.

Jesus is at hand that we must choose which kingdom we belong to either to Christ or to Satan. Thank God that we are not orphans and God never intended for us to live here without a helper. Before Jesus ascended to heaven He had promised to His disciples that they will be given a Helper which is the Holy Spirit. We too can access the Holy Spirit once we’ve become a child of God by accepting His Son Jesus Christ into our lives and believing in our hearts that He is the resurrection and the life.
