Reputation is the beliefs or opinions that are generally held about someone or something. How others perceive you is important and we must live up to the standard of our society. As we live in this generation that is intolerance of our differences and the cancel culture is becoming prominent just because we don’t agree to the beliefs of the other person or to those we don’t support because of our principles, we are shunned and shamed that ultimately ruined your reputation and career.

As a child of God we must be merciful and forgiving if Jesus would have been still here on this earth which His presence is still here because of the Holy Spirit, Jesus would have been highly criticized and maligned by people like the Pharisees and Sadducee. They reside inside our churches or the people who have the power to influence others who point the finger and cancel people because they don’t fit into their narratives or hidden agenda. Jesus changed all of the narratives and he was never afraid to stand up for the weak and to speak up for the outcast.

Matthew 8:1-4 Jesus cleansed the lepers that were outcast, unclean, and despised by many.

Matthew 9:9-12, “Jesus’ was questioned about the people He dined with. He showed mercy. The Pharisees when he was questioned why he had dined with the sinners who are tax collectors and prostitutes and Jesus replied, “I did not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”

Jesus’ reputation spread through towns because of the miracles He has done from opening the eyes of the blind in Matthew 9:29-30 from making a mute man speak Matthew 9:32-35.

Jesus brought unity between cultural differences.

As we read the woman at the well who was surprised why Jesus being a Jew speaking with a Samaritan woman like her because on those days, Jews had nothing to do about the Samaritans. Read John 4

Jesus defended women.

As we read John 8 when an adulteress woman brought in front of Jesus by the Pharisees to be condemned. But Jesus knew that it was a set-up to trip him up instead of responding to the Pharisees, Jesus’ ignored them and stoop down and started writing something on the ground. The life of the woman was depended upon Jesus. He showed love and compassion to this adulterous woman and said, “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
